You used to be able to enter weight info and receive calorie consumption on the free one. Is that only a premium thing now?
I used this on Windows Mobile 6.5 and it was great. It's even better on Windows Phone 7.5. The interface is smoother, it average speed, calories burned, pace and much more. It is even has a map that shows where you traveled. I use it to see my average speed when going through traffic.
Buggy, not entirely internationalized for US/English customers.
Login\registration fails and dose not work. Useless
Works much more reliably than Marathon, just not quite as many features & maybe not layed out as nicely. sometimes Facebook sharing doesn't work, but probably because it's not connecting to the WiFi properly.
Great app for tracking exercise or other movement...very accurate and easy-to-use. Syncs with online account, too. Unfortunately some features (like maps and charts) do not always work.
Why do I have to have an account?
Works very well for me although functions are quite limited in comparison to e.g. Ovi Sports. A graph of your data would be nice and of course the ability to share the times with your friends. Upload works nicely, too. Then you can at least use some additional features on the website.
Ran well for a few runs and then stopped working. The activities can't be uploaded to the server anymore defeatting the purpose of tracking. Sigh
It wouldn't even let me register so I never was able to test or use it.
Doesn't work...ran 3 miles said I did 6???? Uninstalling.

A few more features like pause (not just amiguous stop), altitude information, HR monitor and music controls in the app would make this a true competitor to SportyPal (coming soon to WP7). The pro paid version of smartrunner doesn't include these features either. After further use, won't upload to Facebook and errors out in continuous loop when opening route on phone.
Don't even waste ur time
Facebook integration doesn't work. Kludgy operation of you want to listen to music while you run. Doesn't track elevation changes.

Why the heck do I need to sign in to an account before I can even see what the app does or how it works?

Installed the app twice and it won't login or send any data to the service.

This app is surprisingly good. It recorded the route of my run accurately, and gave some nice little stats to go with it such as my top and average speed. The calories burned counter doesn't work for me for whatever reason, though. The only downside is you need to sign up, but its short process and you don't ever have to go back to the (pretty barren) website if you don't want anyway. Oh by the way, if you get an error when registering, check your email because it probably still whent through, happened to me.
Great training app
Great little app for tracking distance covered and route taken. Make sure you enable run under lock. Already had SmartRunner for WinMo 6.5 so didn't need to set up a new account.

Great program. Only problem is if you change screens i.e. to your Zune, stops the program.
Good so far
GPS is accurate. Make sure you configure to record under lock screen. I wish record/stop buttons were larger for fat sweaty, shaking fingers like mine after a run.
Great app
Not sure why this app is getting such low reviews. I think its great so far. I used it for a bike ride this morning and it generated a map of the route I took as well as elevation, average speed, time, calories. I like that you can upload it to your account on their website to keep track of all your workouts.

Its ok for a free app
This is an ok app. It does the basics, namely tracks your run with GPS. I like the integration with facebook so I don't have to post twice, although getting set up was more difficult than it needed to be and I had to use the "forgot password" option on the web to even log in (I hadn't forgotton my passord, but it wouldn't let me in until a changed it). The app itself seems to work fine. I like that you can change the type of data that is displayed on the screen during the run by double-tapping on the item. It does seem the english translation isn't very accurate on some of the items (what's a "shop map"?) I think this app has great potential, though. I'll use it for a while and see if it improves over time.
