  • Remotive allows you to browse and control playback of your music library on your PC. You can play music on your desktop or home theater PC, and control it remotely from another room or anywhere with an internet connection. Browse by album, artist, or album artist, and see what's currently playing. Tap and hold on an item to play, or add to now playing. Supported host applications: Windows Media Center (Windows Vista, Windows 7). Windows Media Center must be running to use Remotive. Please note that you must have a PC with one of the supported applications listed above installed. This application also requires Remotive Server (a free application) to be installed on the PC you want to control. You can download Remotive Server at http://www.sharkfistsoftware.com/Remotive/. Trial mode will only list the first 50 albums, artists, and album artists. What's new in version 1.4: Adds volume support and fixes small issues. Requires an updated Remotive Server (1.4) located at http://www.sharkfistsoftware.com/Remotive/.

Fairly limited in functionality. No playlists. No videos/movies/recorded TV. Very slow to load my music. The volume slider is really slow to updaye! On the plus side, it's exactly what I am looking for. If it could work with playlists and was faster to load albums/artists, it would be a great app!

Almost a great app!
Fairly limited in functionality. No playlists. No videos/movies/recorded TV. Very slow to load my music. I can't figure out how to use the volume slider! On the plus stide, it's exactly what I am looking for. If it could work with playlists and was faster to load albums/artists, it would be a great app!

Volume works. Will play one track and that's it, can't play anymore.

Best wmc remote for music. But this doesn't support playlists, and reads albums little slow. But still best so far.

The server app will not install on my PC. I don't have time to screw with dodgy coding. Pass for me.

Best So Far
I've tried all the apps for playing music on my PC remotely. This is the best so far. Looking forward to the updates.

This is a simple, great piece of software. Looking forward to updates to add contacts-style jump buttons, playlists, and volume control.
