- The Harvest is a science fiction themed Action RPG that takes place on future Earth, some years after the fallout of a destructive alien invasion. These aliens, who have been come to be known as The Harvesters, use humans and animals to create cyborgs: crude amalgamations of flesh and machinery. Mankind, in the form of the Global Defence Force is fighting a war against The Harvesters using human controlled mechanized infantry units. The GDF army has been deployed to various parts of the world in order to fight back against The Harvesters in hope of restoring Earth to its rightful owners. You are part of a group that has been sent to investigate reported Harvester activity in the region of the ruins of an ancient city that was once used as military base for an organization that was a precursor to the GDF, which is where the game begins. The game world of The Harvest has been designed to provide not only visceral combat, but opportunities for exploration, character customization, and story progression. As players make their way through each game area, they must not only fight off wave after wave of The Harvester horde, but find hidden upgrades, perform story actions, and defeat large and imposing enemy boss units in order to move on to the next area. The Harvest has been designed from the ground up to be the best looking 3D mobile phone game to date, with innovative touch screen gameplay that brings Action RPG games on mobile devices out of the dark ages. Players are immediately immersed in an Action RPG game experience tailored to mobile phones, taking all the best from the genre, while removing the tedium and repetitiveness that is usually associated with games of this nature. Surprisingly deep action RPG.
As someone who plays console games regularly, I was surprised to see that The Harvest is a full featured and deep action RPG -- on your phone! Highly recommended for anyone who loves sci-fi action and gaining experience. My only gripe is the usual problem with touchscreen games that tapping your finger in the direction you want to move often obscures the action.

Fun change of pace from typical phone game
This game looks GREAT. If you're looking for a game to wow your friends with stunning graphics, this is the one. The controls take some getting used to and if you have fat fingers (like me), you'll find that sometimes things are hard to see as you tap to move around. In addition, some of the buttons on the screen are pretty darn small so you have to touch carefully. Overall, great game.

Great game experience
I'm not a gamer but I'm quickly getting hooked to this. Started out with the trial but then just had to purchase. Right now I'm stuck in an area, but I'll figure it out. Not sure if it's my device but I don't find the accelerometer response to be that great. Otherwise great game and amazing graphics.
Great game with very engaging story and smooth graphics. Load time for the game is high - around 60-90secs but works smoothly once loaded.
Great game, slow load times
If you have time to sit and play for a while, this is a great game, very addictive. However, the load times are very slow, so don't expect to play while you are stopped at a traffic light. If the load times could be improved I'd give it 5 stars.
Great game. Very detailed, with a lot of content. Load time is a bit long, but with everything in it, it is acceptable to me.

This is by far one of the best games for Windows Phone 7. The graphics are great, the storyline is interesting and there are plenty of enemies! I'd say a must for any RPG fan.

Serious, deep action RPG gameplay
Simple puzzle games are great to pass a few spare minutes with, but The Harvest is the first real game for Windows Phone that gameplay-wise would be at home on any console (or PC) as well. It's essentially a 3D, sci-fi Diablo with a Fallout aesthetic - and those are all great things! Smooth framerate and simple "click to attack" controls make it easy to get into, but there's plenty of interesting choices for weapons and special abilities, as well as lots of exploration and a decent storyline. In terms of hours of real entertainment, you can't beat it for the price.

Have seen videos of this game before and just started playing. Next thing I know I was lying on my bed and it's hard to put down! I like that I can earn achievements and that I can just swipe to dismiss the notification. You can level up in the game and also get equipments.

This game has a very interesting story line as well as great graphics. It reminds me of a futuristic version of the old classic PC game Diablo.

Yay! My first WP7 RPG. There's a lot of exploration, tactics, and leveling up to do. Plus who can resist the classic humans vs aliens conflict? The graphics are sweet and the controls are easy to use. My only complaint is that the load times are a bit long but the wait is worth it.
Awesome game
Graphics are great! Auto-saves progress as you go. Does takes 2-3 min to load. Better on a bigger phone screen. It's comparable to Diablo but simpler. There are 3 characters each with 3 differnent set of special moves. Story is pretty basic and not engaging. Only use of phone touch screen and no other sensors.
a lot of fun on the bus
This game has a good balance of gameplay that pulls you in, but also is something you can play in short bursts. The RPG elements (leveling up, etc) adds some depth to the game without making it complex. The only thing keeping it from 5 stars is that the controls could use some tweaking: sometimes taps don't register in the menus, other times it's hard to tap on the bad guys.

Probably the best game I have played on a phone. The production quality, graphics and gameplay are all high quality. Load times are surprisingly good. Great combination of action and RPG elements. I think this will be the cream of the crop for the initial batch of games at least!!

A ton of fun, Surprisingly performant
A full featured isometric RPG with beautiful graphics. The touch controls and animations are suprisingly smooth and intuitive. The gameplay is fun and rewarding to explore the various maps for treasure, destroy breakable objects, and slay monsters for valuable loot. Should be decently replayable with 3 characters with different play styles. Definately worth a buy.

A bit like diablo with a sci-fi bent, click on things to attack. Beautiful graphics, and good sound. Why only 3 stars, doesn't respect system vibration setting to be quiet. Some of the text is too small to read easily so it's hard to see what you're doing.

Great robust title for WP7
It is awesome to have a robust game like this on a mobile device. Loot dropping, leveling up, special moves, all very cool. Only gripe is the controls. Often I would have my fat finger over my character and miss a bad dude here and there. Not a big deal though. Worth the cash!
If I volume down music in game then exit to home, the system volume will be modify and can not recover

Amazing graphics, deep gameplay
I'm willing to look past the steep price when I consider that this a full Xbox LIVE arcade 'AAA' class title. Amazing graphics for a phone and deep, action/RPG-style gameplay, with all the options to customize your mech that that would imply. Just getting into it, but I definitely see myself spending some time on this title and gunning for those achievements. Worth your money.

Got a wp7 then buy this
Its really that simple. one of the crown gems of Mobile gaming, with achievements and all. Only thing missing in this game so far is multiplayer capabilites. But lets face it you are playing this in transit, or waiting for that date. Pros - engaging gameplay -RPG elements - nice sound - Achievements cons -Sound effects reallhave 2 settings on or off. I dont know why the slider bar is there. it does not work - No multiplayer - Probabaly has the longest load times of all the games on the device
If you buy one app for your Windows phone, this needs to be it. Hands down the best mobile game I've played.
Fun game up until first boss. As soon as I beat the boss the game shuts down, I receive no achievement and I must restart. Worthless 7 dollars spent till fixed
Overall this game delivers as promised. But a game camera glitch that persists even after a restart or reboot caused me to lose a character entirely. -2 Stars This is on a Samsung focus
Please fix for Samsung Focus, love the game just crashes a lot.
Game shuts down if using custom soundtrack. Also freezes on first boss with or without custom soundtrack. It also shuts down when loading a saved file. Fix these issues and it would Be a good game but right now this is unacceptable.

Nice game
This was pretty good. Better than I expected for a mobile game. I wish you could skip the intro video, but that's a minor nit. Load time seemed unnecessarily long, although I'mnot the type to abandon. Some may be and this app does seem to take a long time to load. Worth the money? Ehhhhh. . . I'm not sure. Its on the edge. Graphics are good, but in my opinion, its a great game that the kids seem to like, too.
Poor implementation
I downloaded this game.. then I needed to do a reset of my device and there is no longer any way to re-install the game.
First game played on my HD7. love it. Fun game to play. Nice graphics, good game play. Pricey but at least its a well made game.

A load bug on Samsung focus requires me to create a new character frequently, but the game is excellent, the falcon is my favorite mech.

Amazing game, I wish more developers would learn to use MS's SDK and take advantage of what WP7 has to offer on its full hardware accelerate gaming side.
Really fun RPG gameplay. But crashes half the time while loading a saved file on the surround.
For those complaining about load time...it takes 27 seconds to load the level on my phone. The level is HUGE and I can happily explore it for half an hour!!! Get over the load time. This isn't a basic casual time waste game. Any game this size on any platform would take this long. You can skip the video by hitting the back button while it is playing. If you played the trial you need to start a new character after the full game is puchased othehrwise it can crash(annoying I know). This is the kind of game that makes this a real game platform. Not the 1 minute time wasters that, while fun, aren't particularly satisfying - and most are straight ports of flash games from the last 12 years... Excellent work Microsoft. I applaud you.

This is a great game that offers much more than your average mobile game. Graphics and gameplay are beautiful and smooth. I hope to see more games like this on the WP7 platform in the future.
